About Vancouver Biztech

Vancouver Biztech is the Vancouver edition of the Biztech network. It covers software, operations technology, and implementation context for businesses in Metro Vancouver and across British Columbia.

Who This Is For

Operators making technology decisions with real money and real consequences. Owners, managers, controllers, and whoever has been handed the software project alongside their existing job.

Coverage concentrates on the region’s mix: retail and hospitality, logistics and distribution, food and beverage, and the data and platform questions that come with selling through more than one channel.

How Pages Are Made

Primary sources first. Where a page states a tax rule, a regulatory requirement, or a product capability, it is checked against the province, the regulator, or the vendor’s own documentation, and the source is linked. Where a claim comes from a third party, the page says so.

Dated and reviewed. Every page shows when it was published and when it was last reviewed. A reviewed date means someone read the page against its sources on that date. We do not move review dates on unchanged pages to look current.

Specific over comprehensive. A page that answers one question with verifiable detail beats a page that surveys everything shallowly. Where something is genuinely uncertain, the page says so.

What We Do Not Do

• No pay-to-rank lists. Placement in any comparison is not for sale.
• No cloned city pages. A regional page exists only when it contains regional substance. National guidance belongs on the national edition.
• No undisclosed commercial relationships. Where a page links a company with a commercial relationship to the network operator, the page says so and the link is marked as sponsored.
• No advice we are not qualified to give. Pages covering tax, privacy, or compliance topics describe requirements and point at the authority, then tell readers to confirm with a qualified advisor. British Columbia’s PST treatment of software and its own private-sector privacy law both make that especially important here.

On Authorship

Pages carry a Biztech Editors byline. That is an editorial byline for the network instead of an individual, and readers are entitled to weigh it accordingly. The compensating commitment is that factual claims link to sources you can check yourself.

The Network

Vancouver Biztech is one of five regional editions alongside Canada, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto Biztech. The editions do not share reader data and each maintains its own privacy policy, because they do not all collect the same things. This edition runs no analytics at all.
